Orange County
Orange County is a county in Southern California, United States. According to the 2000 Census, its population was 2,846,289, making it the second most populous county in the state of California, and the fifth most populous in the United States. The state of California estimates its population as of 2007 to be 3,098,121 people, dropping its rank to third, behind San Diego County. Unlike many other large centers of population in the United States, Orange County uses its county name as its source of identification whereas other places in the country are identified by the large city that is closest to them. This is because there is no defined center to Orange County like there is in other areas which have one distinct large city. Five Orange County cities have populations exceeding 150,000 while no cities in the county have populations surpassing 370,000.

Aliso Viejo - Orange County
Aliso Viejo is a city in Orange County, California, United States. As of the 2000 census, Aliso Viejo population was 40,166. Aliso Viejo became Orange County's 34th city on July 1, 2001, and has been the only city in Orange County to incorporate since 2000. It borders the cities of Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, and Laguna Woods.

The city began as a center of crude oil production, was later propelled by citrus production, and is now an important retail center because of the large Brea Mall and the recently redeveloped Brea Downtown. Sunset (magazine) has named Brea one of the five best places to live in the Western United States.

Buena Park is a city located in northwestern Orange County, California. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 78,282. The city is located adjacent to the city of Anaheim and is located 12 miles northwest of downtown Santa Ana. The Current OMB metropolitan designation for Buena Park and the Orange County Area is "Santa Ana-Anaheim-Irvine, CA." Buena Park is home to several tourist attractions, most notably Knott's Berry Farm.

Irvine is an incorporated city in Orange County, California, United States. It is a planned city, mainly developed by the Irvine Company since the 1960s. Formally incorporated on December 28, 1971, the 69.7 square mile city has a population of 202,079 (as of 2007). It has annexed in the past an undeveloped area to the north, and has also annexed the former El Toro Marine Corps Air Station, most of which is to be made into a park called the Orange County Great Park.
Laguna Niguel - Orange County
Laguna Niguel is a city located in southern Orange County, California. The name "Laguna Niguel" is derived from the Spanish word "Laguna" which means lagoon and the word "Nigueli" which was the name of a Juaneno Indian village once located on Aliso Creek. The population was 61,891 at the 2000 census. The city was primarily built after 1980 as an unincorporated master planned community located in the foothills of Laguna Beach. It borders Laguna Beach, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, Mission Viejo, Laguna Hills, and Aliso Viejo.

Mission Viejo is a city located in southern Orange County, California in the Saddleback Valley. As of the 2006 census, the city had a total population of 97,997.Mission Viejo is suburban in nature and culture. It is mainly residential, although there are a number of offices and businesses within its city limits. The city is planned and features a very large number of single-family homes, some condominiums, a two-year community or junior college, and a regional mall.

San Clemente - Orange County
San Clemente is a city in Orange County, California, United States. As of 2005, the city population was 65,338. San Clemente is the southernmost city in the county, six miles south of San Juan Capistrano. Its location makes it the only city in Orange County closer to San Diego than to Los Angeles. The north entrance (known as the "Christianitos Gate") to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton is in San Clemente.

Seal Beach - Orange County
Seal Beach is a city in Orange County, California. The population was 24,157 at the 2000 census. The City was incorporated on 25 October 1915. Seal Beach is located in the north-westernmost corner of Orange County. San Pedro Bay, part of the Pacific Ocean, lies to the northwest. To the northwest, just across the border of Los Angeles County, lies the city of Long Beach. To the southeast is Huntington Harbour (part of Huntington Beach) and the unincorporated community of Sunset Beach.
